Introducing, the sweetest, most beautiful girl EVER, miss Myla Lee Mooney! What a long/rewarding day and night it was bringing this girl into the world. I can’t even believe that she is ours and I can’t believe how perfect and how in love we are already!

Cliff Note Version:

We arrived to be induced on the morning of May 12th. I had my water broken at about 9:30AM and after feeling a few contractions I opted for the  epidural right away (best decision). Really, the epidural was not as bad as I expected, I survived.

The epidural made me totally nauseous and I was unable to feel my entire body, seriously I was like a huge sac of potatoes. Luckily, after a few hours the nausea wore off and I had feeling back in my body (not enough to feel any pain, thankfully).

After a slow going day of dilating about 1 cm every hour or two it all of a sudden hit me and I suddenly went from a 5 to a 9 in a matter of an hour!

I had the most amazing nurse who helped me get the extra centimeter pretty quickly and she got me pushing as soon as we got to that point.

Doctor Bierer arrived and I pushed maybe for 30-45 minutes and out she came at 8:23PM.

She was the cutest little thing I had ever seen (cone-head and all). The cutest little love all in a small package of 6 lb 4 oz and 20 inches long.
